Welcome to Giving Hope International
Giving Hope to the World's Needy, Ministering to The Forgotten Ones By Name
In Cambodia, City Presbyterian Church of Long Beach was able to touch the lives of abuse and trafficking victims. By partnering with local missionaries, the church served primarily impoverished women and children.
This mission was important because of the personal relationships formed between the Cambodians and church members, said Irene Lee, of City Presbyterian Church. They were able to see the impact of sharing the Gospel to children who have suffered through sex-trafficking, metal abuse and abandonment.
While in Cambodia, the church was also able to hold a medical clinic that centered on the treatment of abused women and children. Focusing on not only physical care, the church desired to administer holistic care by incorporating the healing power of Christ emotionally and spiritually. Giving Hope International helped supply critical medicines for this medical clinic that helped restore hope to these women and children.
GHI was established in May 2002 as an independent but affiliated agency with Giving Children Hope. The specific mission of GHI is to focus on the needs of individuals who have special needs beyond the relief and development work of the parent organization. The purpose of GHI is to give hope one by one. GHI goes into action when the normal structures of relief and development programs cannot help.”
"Peace to you. The friends here send their greetings. Greet the friends there by name." 3 John 1:14
